A qualified, dedicated, and nurturing team!

Mandy Hernandez - Director/Teacher

Colleen Quickel - Teacher

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be an Educator.  I enjoyed learning and spreading my enthusiasm for education to children was a priority. I graduated from California Polytechnic State University,  San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development.  For two decades,  I taught and worked with Elementary students in Kindergarten and First Grade in the private/public sector in Northern and Central California. I hold certifications in Reading Endorsement and Child Development Site Supervisor Permit. I changed direction in midlife, and worked as a Sales Director for an Educational Company for six years. While this was fulfilling I felt the need to get back to the classroom. I enjoy every aspect of teaching this age group and have realized this past year and a half at Fresno Jewish Day School that the children can teach me as much as I teach them. This is one of my favorite things about teaching preschool.

Deborah Reba - Administrator

I have lived in Fresno since I was 8 years old, attended Clovis schools and graduating from Clovis West High School.  I graduated from CSU,Fresno with my Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration in 1996.  Working as a Systems Administrator and in the Technology field for the past 20 years.  I enjoy spending time with Scott, Joshua and Jacob (my family); gardening; being in nature (hence my picture "tree huggin"); and celebrating life.  I love our Preschool and feel so fortunate that I can contribute to it's success.  As parents, we sent both our sons to Fresno Jewish Day School, back then 2002 - 2007 I was a volunteer on the board, holding several positions: Jewish Federation of Central California Representative, Fall Fundraiser Chair, and President.  I rejoined the board in 2012.  Being involved over such time I have seen FJDS change into the non-profit Private Preschool it is today.   Always rooted in play-based, child-centered preschool learning; using art, science and the fundamentals to help our little people develop into their awesome selves.  When the board decided in 2017 to create an Administrator position I was excited to apply and thrilled to accept the position.
